What are the requirements to rent a vehicle with TCCR?
Twin City Car Rental requires that you present:
A Valid Driver’s License
Major Credit Card that matches the renter’s driver’s license
The renter must be 25 years of age or older
Can I use a Debit Card?
The name on the card MUST match the renter’s driver’s license.
We accept Debit Cards ONLY with the Visa or MasterCard logo. Renters with debit cards have to own a vehicle and your vehicle insurance declaration page has to be emailed to Twin City Car Rental prior to your rental. (Please Note: If you do not have insurance coverage on your own vehicle, you cannot rent from Twin City Car Rental with a Debit Card.)
Minimum hold on debit card is $1,000. We will automatically hold $500 on the website and an additional $500 will be held when the card is presented at the counter.
Note: Using a Debit Card will ONLY allow you to rent a vehicle for up to one week (7 days).
I do not have a U.S. Driver’s License. Would I require a special permit in order to rent a vehicle?
International drivers are required to obtain a local government issued permit, which is valid for up to 30 days.
What side of the road do you drive on in St. Croix?
We drive on the left-hand side of the road on St. Croix. We also drive standard American cars so the steering is on the left as well. We provide a “Keep Left” sticker on our windshields as a helpful reminder.
Is there a fee for Additional Drivers?
Yes, there is a $10 daily fee per additional driver.
Will you be able to pick me up and drop me off?
It is our mission to ensure you a smooth and efficient car rental experience. We offer pick up and drop off services to and from the airports and hotels. Please inquire to confirm if pick-up is available at the location and time that you require.
Can I smoke inside the vehicle?
Twin City Car Rental has a no smoking policy. In order to maintain our vehicles, we ask that customers do not smoke while inside. We charge an additional $150 cleaning fee for any vehicles that smell like smoke. In order to avoid this additional charge, please refrain from smoking in the vehicles.
Where can I return my vehicle?
You can return your vehicle at our central location which is located at 113 Barren Spot Mall.
What is your fuel Policy?
In order to make this process easy, we provide you with a FULL tank. When returning the vehicle, it is required to return it with a full tank as well. A fuel charge would be added to your invoice if the vehicle is returned less than full.
Is there a cancellation fee?
If the reservation is canceled before 48 hours there is no fee.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your reservation the same way you booked it or call any one of our numbers to speak with a representative who can assist you in doing so. Cancellation is required 48 hours in advance. If not, you will be charged for one day rental.
What is your vehicle return policy?
There's a 30 minute grace period to return the vehicle. After the grace period has been passed, you will be charged our hourly rate for up to two hours. After the 2 hour mark is passed, you will be charged for the full day.
